praise for Dremel's customer support

I just got my repaired Dremel back today have to give their customer service a BIG thumbs up. My tool is 3+ years old and has a 5 year warranty but I never got around to registering and lost all the receipts long ago. They fixed the problem (broken switch), had it turned around in 2 days, shipped it back UPS 2nd Day at no charge, and even gave me a free stainless steel wire brush bit! All this without any proof that I even owned the tool. Anyone looking to get a rotary tool, feel confident that Dremel stands behind their stuff.

Looking back over my post, I must add that my crazed enthusiasm comes from the fact that seemingly endless tasks for Dremel-use have popped up since it's been broken and now I can finally get at them :p
 
I agree. Dremel came through for me too!

My old digital tool kept shocking me and after severl trips back to Dremel for repair (repairs which held up for just a few sessions before the shocks returned) I was about to give up on the Dremel completely, and even posted here about how Dremel customer service was not all it could be (I may have even said it sux! :o )

Well, one last call to Dremel to let them make good and, much to my surprise and with no questions asked, they sent me a UPS call tag to return the defective product and then sent me--at no charge--a brand new Dremel 400 XPR KIT! ($80 value) :eek:

Suffice it to say that the new tool is way better the the old one--more powerful and no shocks!
