  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

No one is paying me to say this, but it doesnt seem that MMHW has risen to level of popularity it deserves. Around last year I purchased a custom 5/16" stock paramedic axe from Ted. There is no rust, no chipping on the axe yet. I have cut down an unwanted tree(decent sized) in my backyard, used it to pry open bolted doors, and just recently hacked off a huge chunk of ice glued to my roof( about 6'x4'x6", hardened by a very cold and long winter). All this and it still maintains the edge and finish it came with. Perhaps, this is expected from products in its price range, but every high end "tactical" knife costing twice as much I've abused slightly, always ends up chipping.

I have heard wonderful things about them, but never tried a knife of theirs. Do you have a URL for their page or any contact info? I would be interested in taking a look at what they have again and possibly adding a blade of theirs to my base camp gear.
