A while back someone asked for comments about the Storm II and as I had just gotten the knife the day before, I felt obligated to throw in my 2 cents. I said something nasty about the thumb stud, and that I was taking it back to Wallyworld.

Well, I didn't take it back, I kept playing with it and playing with it, and it eventually loosened up a lot. Its now the knife I reach for most of the time and I can't get over how good it fits my hand.

I got a Mini-Cyclone for Christmas, and though I like it a lot, I still reach for the Storm. The Cyclone is already a little scratched up from being in my pocket, the Storm still looks friggin awesome.

I just placed an order for a Spyderco Native, I can't wait until it shows up. I am thinking a Skyline may be next. This knife stuff is the new crack.

Now, how do I explain to the wife that the knives are reproducing in my drawer? :p

...If they fit in only one drawer yer still in good shape. When ya buy one of those 8 x 12 sheds at Lowes or Home Depot and set it up in your yard for more storage space...THAT'S when ya gotta come up with some good excuses...:eek::p

...I did that for a while too Mike...but I started to develop some really bad "blisters" on my feets...:eek::p

It's one of my favorite "cheap" knives. I have discovered a possible issue
with the locks on them though. See my post from today...

YSG, what you are describing does not happen to mine. At least by hand. Mine was made in Dec. 06, maybe they have changed?

Anyway, I absolutely love the Storm II. I have other knives that cost more that are nice. But, the Storm II is what I carry most. Good 13c26 steel, flipper handle, and fits real flat in the pocket. I would never call it a cheap knife quality wise. Price, maybe. But Kershaw could charge at least $50 if they wanted to.
