I'm looking for a small 'walk around' hatchet. The Gransfor Bruk Lars Fait model would be nice but, $150~$180 is just simply too expensive right now.
Post Coronavirus, maybe but who knows how or when this will end.
I don't want some soft obtuse POS from China.
Home Depot and Lowes (or similar) options are unimpressive even if not some randon plastic handled 'brick' POS. Ideally, I'm looking for a ~13" wood handled ~1# head with a geometery for cutting and light splitting. Feather stick making would be nice too.
Is the Prandi a good option? How about some Swedish or German options that won't break the bank? How about the Austrian Stubai valley options? Am I missing a Council Tool option?
