Feeling adventurous, my son and I decided to try a different trail up in Ojai, CA. Nice, clear day, a bit too hot, but not unpleasant. A good breeze every now and then really helped.

Here's the Pratt Trailhead

Blue-belly lizard. Very common around here.

The Ojai Valley. For California, not a bad place to live.

Due to a crazy parasitic plant, this tree looked like some kind of "wraith". Or maybe it's just me.

Looks like fun man. Always good to get the kids out to enjoy nature. Thanks for posting.

Tradewater, you may have a little competition . You have to admit, pretty good form going on here:

Awesome trail report, thanks for sharing! LOVE finding strange stuff in the woods, but that boat is epic.

BTW, the rainbow is called a sun halo I believe, caused by reflection off of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. Pretty common up here, but neat to see down south.

Man, all these trail reports are seriously making me want to get my butt out in the woods...

Can't see that shirt without hearing...

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!

I may have had that song played a few too many times in the old truck with my boys.

Great post and I am glad to see kids getting out and enjoying nature. Thanks for posting this.

What is the deal with the boat? I like the little lizard too. We don't have any of those in Maine.

Thanks again!
