OK, here's the fact: Since I got back into knives a few years ago, one of the best people I've met has been my friend Kenny from Georgia. He is known as Ken44 here on bf, and many of you know him. I have had more than one, more than twenty, serious, many-hour-long conversations with this gentleman. As good a person as I've met in this world, the kind of guy you know doesn't deserve anything bad to happen to him.
Well, something bad is happening to him. He is not well, he has a condition that causes him excruciating pain, which he can't treat through normal pain-management medication therapies. I am distinctly worried about him, living every second of every day in agonizing pain is the kind of thing that can wear down even the most exuberant spirits. Like me, Kenny is a bit introverted, and I'm even sure he'd welcome this post, but the thing is, I don't know enough about the world to know how things work. What I mean is, even though I'm not a believer, I've actually prayed for my friend, on the old "it can't hurt to try". I hope that all his friends here on bf can pray for him, too.
I feel weird even saying this, because like I said, I'm not a believer, and I've never asked anyone to pray for anyone. But, to say I'm worried is an understatement.
Beliefs aside, it's just maybe possible that there is power in the collective well-wishing of a community. Even an unbeliever like me knows that there is more unrevealed than revealed if you see my point. So, everybody, pray, focus your thoughts on a little good-wishing for Ken, something, anything. Please. Thanks for reading, this. Get better, Kenny!
