OK, here's the fact: Since I got back into knives a few years ago, one of the best people I've met has been my friend Kenny from Georgia. He is known as Ken44 here on bf, and many of you know him. I have had more than one, more than twenty, serious, many-hour-long conversations with this gentleman. As good a person as I've met in this world, the kind of guy you know doesn't deserve anything bad to happen to him.

Well, something bad is happening to him. He is not well, he has a condition that causes him excruciating pain, which he can't treat through normal pain-management medication therapies. I am distinctly worried about him, living every second of every day in agonizing pain is the kind of thing that can wear down even the most exuberant spirits. Like me, Kenny is a bit introverted, and I'm even sure he'd welcome this post, but the thing is, I don't know enough about the world to know how things work. What I mean is, even though I'm not a believer, I've actually prayed for my friend, on the old "it can't hurt to try". I hope that all his friends here on bf can pray for him, too.

I feel weird even saying this, because like I said, I'm not a believer, and I've never asked anyone to pray for anyone. But, to say I'm worried is an understatement.

Beliefs aside, it's just maybe possible that there is power in the collective well-wishing of a community. Even an unbeliever like me knows that there is more unrevealed than revealed if you see my point. So, everybody, pray, focus your thoughts on a little good-wishing for Ken, something, anything. Please. Thanks for reading, this. Get better, Kenny!

If only we could understand God's plan, it's not always our plan.

Bless you Ken, and I pray for you're healing and strength.

Ken44 is one of the good guys. Smoke is up from Pa.

Sorry to hear. Ken is one my favorite people in our little corner of the net. Sad to hear he's in pain.

No metaphysical leanings, but the sincerest best wishes for him to overcome.

Ken is one of the good guys, he is an asset to BFC.
Knowing what it's like to live in severe pain, my heart goes out to him. Thankfully my pain responds to medications.
I will keep Ken in my thoughts and ask the good Lord to help him out.

Is it Fibromyalgia?

Kenny is one of the first guys I've met IRL through the Forums, he's definitely one of the good guys and a friend.
Sorry to hear he's still finding no relief from his pain. :(

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Kenny. Hang tough, brother.

Prayers from the cornfields of Illinois for Ken!

I hope you are feeling better very soon!

best

Smoke and prayers from NEPA going out for Ken and his family and friends. I've known Kensince he's been here and we've operated in a few threads over the years, keeping him in my thoughts.

The power of collective prayer has helped many here, believe it or not. That's the nice thing about prayer, you don't have to believe for it to do some good.

I've never met him, I don't think I have even ever chatted with him on here but he has always struck me as a sincerely good bloke. Chronic pain sucks and my thoughts and prayers are with him.
