Prayer for Flooding in Australia.

I don't know how much news from Australia gets to America and elsewhere. We've had record amounts of rain the end of last year and into this year here in Queensland, Australia (the so called sunshine state). Which is resaulting in the worst flooding here in over 3 decades. Until recently most of the flooding has just been in QLD but now our flood waters have headed into NSW flooding towns there too. The floodwaters are reported to peak at 3am tomorrow in QLD and is expected to stay at that for 2 or 3 days. 75% of QLD is under water.

So far 10 people are dead and 90 are still reported missing. Prayer for those families would be appreciated i'm sure. Also prayer for out farmers which have lost absolutly everything from crops to livestock which will no doubt put a strain on our economy as well.

More rain is falling all over the rest of Australia threatening flash flooding.

My family is quite safe where we are thank God. but we do know people effected.

12 people now confirmed dead in this last lot of flooding bringing the death toll since november up to 23. With 43 still missing. This La Nina weather front is expected to last until Autumn.

Not sure I've heard of that island. We have a few. Thankfully the brisbane river didn't peak as high as expected last night and we've had two relatively rain free days. So that's gotta help.

Sorry I haven't updated. the city is getting back to normal after its mud bath. The death toll from the floods was 20. It's training pretty hard today and is supposed to keep going for the next few days so I think they' re going to let a whole heap of water out of the dams in preparation. The category 5 cyclone that hit northern qld wasn't as bad as people were expecting but it still devastated communities and I think around 85% of australia's bananas got wiped out.

By all reports on tv people are getting on with life though.
