Prayer For White Men

I thank you for the prayer. I thought that I was done for the night but I had to read this thread.

I would like to think that many of the whites on this forum are a bit different that many of the whites in this country. It sends chills up and down my spine when I see total waste of our natural resourses. When I trim one of the trees in the yard it is to make the tree grow taller or to keep some one from getting hurt on the low hanging limbs.
all of the limbs that are suitable I use to make something if for nothing but walking sticks.

I am a firm advocate of the saying "waste not, want not" I wish I was younger so I could get around a bit easier an meet a bunch of the people on this forum more than I have been able to meet so far. Every one that I have had the chance to meet has been a very outstanding person in my opinion. Just haven't met any but the salt of the earth.:) :D

Well said, Pappy.

I'm sure God doesn't need any help in finding fault in any race of man, as none is faultless; but thanks for the prayer as I shall say one for you and yours also.

Greg I agree. I'm not one of -his- but I am ndn, Scots/Irish and German, a mixed blood if you will and I walk the ndn Sweat and Prayer way. I honor all sides of my heritage as at one time we were all tribal people.
Personally this prayer smacks of the New Age movement and not the prayers of those of Oklahoma, Land of the Redman where I and my people reside and is not the opinion of any ndns I personally know.

I would value your prayers though as we all need them, no matter to what diety you happen to pray too.

Your choice Burafan.:) And please no offence intended but another thing, no self respecting medicine man or ndn would call himself a SHAMAN either. Shamans are native to Russia and other parts of Europe and not part of American ndn history. Any reference to an American ndn shaman is pure hollywood bullshit.
Actually you can't get a real self respecting medicine man to even admit that he is one. He will say something like, "Some people say I am.":)
If anyone ever claims to be a medicine man or medicine woman run like hell because all they're after is your money!!!!
There's one fellow around town that says he's a medicine man and all of us skins call him Walking Eagle because he's so full of shlt he can't fly. :D

Offerings are gladly received, but never solicited by anyone real and all ceremonies are free to those who need them. It has always been this way and will always remain this way by those who remember the past in a good way.

No offense taken by this paleface BuraFan. :) We've all put a foot in our mouth a time or two, the real test is how you respond when the event occurs.

Unless perhaps he is Heyoka!;)

white? I prefer "Teutonic American"

I say Mitakue Oyasin, To all our relations.

Have a cool Yule,

Keith Sauers

This reminds me of another thread from a few months back. You may recall that I told you if you thought I was crazy to just let me know?
I still don't think his Grandfather is any different than the god I pray to. Any way, Just how many Great Spirits can there be? And, don't get any ideas that I am throwing stones at any one. That's for the ones without sin. :)

Pappy I don't have any problm with the Grandfather. Burafan admitted the prayer is biased and it is and has no place among brothers as any prayers that bring division have no place among the brothers of Man.:(
There are too many of us that have worked and are still working hard to bring people together and heal the Scared Hoop.

Keith said it well, "Mitakue Oyasin" or "For all My Relations."

I spit coffee all over my monitor when I read this!:D :D :D LOL

BuraFan,

Anyone can make a mistake, but it takes real maturity and humility to admit wrong. You've just revealed what kind of man you are, and I'm impressed. Maybe one adult in fifty can do this, according to my experience. I'd like to think that I would've done the same thing, but I doubt I would've been able to admit my mistake so quickly. Not that you made some huge mistake. Although I'm white, I didn't feel it applied to me character-wise when I read it, but it didn't get me fired up or anything.

Good man here, Uncle! You're the kind we need here, IMO.

Peace,
Chris
