Hi Guys,

My dad has kidney cancer and will be going into surgery soon. The cancer takes up 99% of one of his kidneys that they will remove. My dads as tough as they come but any prayers or smoke would be greatly appreciated. Will tell you guys what happens.

Background:
My dad works in the northwest of Western Australia. He's had many close calls through out his 35 year working life as a high voltage electrician, but has always remained unscathed. A week ago he was pulling his back pack out of the work ute (I believe you call them trucks in the US) and he twisted and fell over and was in a lot of pain.

Mine site policy is pretty strict and they flew him home dosed up with morphine for some scans. During the scans they found the cancer. Now all this makes me believe that God was looking out for him because if he didn't fall over the docs wouldn't have found the cancer and it could have spread and their would have been nothing the docs could have done. My dad is very fit and he had no idea that the cancer was there. He's been functioning on one kidney for a while unknown to him.

My prayers, smoke, good wishes, and a week's worth of Young Bert beatings will be sent to the gods for your Dad' surgery and complete recovery.

As you say, for bad new, it is good news they found it. :thumbup:

My Mom just had a cancer scare and came out of it just fine...I hope your Dad has the same outcome.
