Prayers for a safe trip!

My wife are leaving bone dry California for rain soaked Virginia this Wednesday the 16th. The house is packed up and we're doing last minute details. Market's strange out here, the place is up for sale, and has been for six weeks without a bite. Problem is everything else is in motion...we have a place rented and a hundred people of more have our new address. The second car's been delivered to a transport company earlier today and the moving company is supposed to be here Wednesday morning.

To save money, my wife's retired, we're driving across in a fully tuned Subaru Forester that's going to be packed with gear, food, etc., and the weather's weird as you probably know. Have a Garmin GPS and a glove box full of maps and the course takes us most of the way on 80, to 70, to 64 in Virginia.

What I'm asking for are a few prayers to get us safely there, in between tornados, hail and thunder storms. Can I ask for a few days of sunshine instead? :rolleyes:

Followup: We arrived safe and sound in Virginia on Wednesday the 23rd, late in the day. We're now in our new apartment and dealing with the stress of finding our way around, unpacking the contents of two trucks, and getting used to the rain and humidity. It's really beautiful here with all of the trees and close proximity to the ocean. And compared to the SF Bay Area, even the evening commute while we're off in it shopping for supplies, is nowhere near the same level of stress, noise and also dust level.

Offer my thanks for your responses and prayers, which must've worked...no bad weather, tornadoes the car made it without problems...so are we lucky or were we blessed? Thanks either way! :rolleyes:
