So I'm not usually one to do this, but then again I've never been in this situation. Here's the story.
About a month and a half ago, my dog Max was attacked by a raccoon. He ended up with a severe blood infection and a large abscess. We took him to the vet, and they ran some blood work and drained the abscess. After a few weeks, besides being a bit anemic and skinny he seemed to be on the road to recovery.
Fast forward to today, he was sneezing blood so we took him to the vet again. When we go there we were told that the results of his most recent blood test had come in. They told us that he likely has leukaemia and only has a few weeks to live.
He's an 8 year old terrier, beagle, lab cross (Mut for short) and is one of my best friends. For anyone who took the time to read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I'll post some pics when I get home, tapatalk won't let me.
