My Dad has Parkinson's disease , he has had it for a several years now , he's been living with it and more or less doing ok.

I don't want to bore anyone with the details but he is not doing good right now ( he is in the hospital and maybe permanently in a rest home if he does not improve ), my Mom is taking it hard as are the rest of us.

Please folks , send some prayers , positive thoughts , whatever you can spare or muster our way. My Dad's name is Ken.

Thanks in advance , I really appreciate it.

Prayers up for your dad, mom and yourself.

I know what you are going through... My dad also has Parkinson's and has been living with it for many years. He had deep brain stimulation implants done quite a few years ago, but of course that procedure only eases the symptoms, and does nothing to stop the disease.

My father also just got over a UTI... They can raise havoc as sometimes they don't show any symptoms until a mental state change occurs.

My dad is in his late 70's and is starting to have a lot of problems swallowing... As you may know, the inability to swallow is part of the disease and eventually will lead to difficult future decisions which must be made. Prepare yourself.

I pray you will all have all of the strength and Gods comfort He will give for the difficult days ahead.

Yea , we are in the same boat , my dad is 74 , what a terrible disease. He has had swallowing problems for about 4 years now , muscle problames as in shaking uncontrollably , aside from his present UTI condition his mind is somewhat ok , I feel so bad for him because he was a man who did all his own things , gardening , fiddlin' in the yard, bowling.. none of which he can do anymore.
I'm not looking forward to those future decisions , my and my brother were just talking about that... I guess it is the eventuality we all face in one form or another. I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

I will return the prayers.

Thanks again.
