This is way off topic, but it may fit in ATG. Good thoughts need to be sent out to this town.

A little after 8:00 today, there was a tremendous fertilizer plant explosion in a little town north of Waco. Details out of the town are still sketchy, but it appears an area the size of 4 city blocks was leveled with multiple structures collapsed or on fire including the middle school (likely empty) and a nearby nursing home. Surrounding hospitals are expecting hundreds of admits. The blast was felt and heard up to 70+ miles away. They are sending EMS units from as far away as DFW and are evacuating the town. Imagine a blast like the one in OKC multiplied by many times in size.

The mushroom cloud:

And here is a really spooky video of the explosion. This man and his child are VERY lucky to be alive.

I hope this doesn't turn out as bad as it looks.

A friend's Godson was there playing basketball with a friend, and the blast knocked them both from their feet. Both of them are ok and back in Waco, but it was a powerful, powerful explosion.

Update: Very thankful that there is not a higher death toll by now. Currently, it's as much as 15 dead, though that number may be high or it may increase as recover efforts continue. Nearly 200 hurt so far.

A few more pictures and videos:

Here's a few different angles on the explosion. Pardon the cursing on the video. I'd have been doing the same:

This is the plant site:

Here is an apartment complex near the blast:
