pre-order process

I am trying to decifer the pre-order process. How long do they accept pre-orders for? Is there a date as to when they start sending them out/ or an approximation as to how long I have? I was thinking at first it was a couple weeks,then I heard a couple months then I heard about 6 mnths. Should I order immediatly as they may cut off taking orders at any time or do I have some time to ponder my selections? Its just that the more I think on it the more I think I may want more than one and would need to order two. I am cluless I guess and starting to get greedy before I even have a ASH. Need some help.
 
Jerry will usually give some hint that the current knife is getting replaced, maybe a week or more before it goes away. It's only a guess, but I'd say it'll be 2-3 months before the ASH1 goes off the website.
 
I can't add much more to what has been said other than it seems to vary from blade to blade. It seemed like the Scotch Dispensers where not up for too long at all compared to the FBMs or other models. I think demand for the blades style probably influences how long it is left up for sale. I can see if orders slow down and stay low for an extended period of time, the shop might decide it is time to pull a model and start running them out. Just my two cents mind you.
