pre patent 184 price?

Saw one like this at the gun show, along with a whole mess of pre-production Al Mars. http://survivalknife184.com/buck184collection/BUCK184-05-1.html Sheath had two pouches, Silva compass with red lanyard in one of them, the handle only contained three lose matches. Blade edge looked unused and unsharpened. Seller said he would let it go for $325, got his card. Should I call?

I would buy it. There are buck with

- buck 184
- buck patent pending
- buck patented

My understanding was the original before the patent pending were the rarest followed by a lot of patent pending the hundreds of thousands of the patented...

This was documented on a website buck184.com but its down.

If anyone has more knowledge about this please correct my info. I Do have the knife you mentioned and I did research it when I brought mine.. I paid more that what he has offered...
