Has anyone watched the new series on AMC called the Preacher, a series based on the graphic novel. Only two episodes so far, but I'm already hooked. You see, something comes from outer space and .... word of caution, not family viewing and not for the squeamish.
 
Haven't seen it yet, but the comic is a favorite. I'm probably gonna wait until the whole season is out before I check it. Two questions, though, Chief. Have they introduced The Saint of Killers yet and, if so, did they do a good job with him?

Don't think so, IM. Doesn't ring a bell. The 2nd episode ended with the Irishman (still haven't got his name, but he's a doozy for sure, as is the cute little woman with awesome killing skills) tackling two weird dudes in the church. A chainsaw plays a central role in that scene. Don't want to be a spoiler. The actor who plays the Priest is great.

I suspect you would remember if they introduced The Saint. Unless they go far from the books he's extremely memorable. But it sounds like they've done a good job with the three main characters which is really more than enough to sell me on season 1.

The introduced him this latest episode. It was all visual, very little dialogue so he's still a mystery.
 
AMC cannot do everything that was done in the comic. Garth Ennis went way overboard. I want to check it out.

Oh, totally agree, the comics are pretty vast and contain multiple complex subplots. That said, The Saint is a pretty major character and so cool it would be both difficult and a real shame if they left him out.
