I think there's some love of workmanship among knife owners and wonder if it carries over into other areas. It just makes sense that those who love knives would like other things.

See guns, watches, and flashlights

I can't own firearms but I collect everything else. Seiko, Tag, Rolex(in a few months), Surefire...etc. If you are going to pay for something, buy quality and only cry once.

Other things than knives doesn't go in the General Knife Discussion, it goes in Gadgets & Gear. Moving ...

Watches are a fave of mine as well, flashlights are a close 3rd and im also into my Honda bikes as well as a bit of a general gear junky. :p:thumbup:

Bikes (pedal powered), cars and flashlights for me! Eventually I'll get a real job and be able to 'collect' more than one firearm.

I'm not a musician...(my wife is), but I would also add most musical instruments to the inventory of highly machined, close tolerance, high level of workmanship category.

You mean like guns, mechanical watches, and fountain pens? I guess there is a bit of an association.

Firearms, watches, pens, photography equipment, drums... it only takes money. :D

Why do I have an affinity for brass compasses? Maybe it's the dancing needle but I'm not sure. Very bothersome, as are split cane fly rods.:) Regards, ss.

Car, GPS, PDA, calculators, motorcycle, computers, camera, tools...

Having hobbies and being particular when shopping is expensive. :(

Cars, Hot Wheels, GPSs, Vintage toys, PDAs, guns, watches, clocks, motorcycles, cameras, tools, art, canes, radios...

If it's interesting I'll collect it.

Guns, Flashlights, Comic Books, Computers, and High End SCUBA Gear. I've managed to ignore watches, as my cell phone is my primary time keeping device.

Oh yea Big Bang carbide Cannons too.
