Just recieved this knive, anyone own one.

Very nice. I dont own one.

Looks like a beast. Only concern is that tip. The last saw ridge on the spine is quite close to the tip and may become a point of concern if put under pressure.

Apart from that seems like a nice score. Congrats
 
Very cool. Is the tip grind uneven to leave more metal up front? If so I'd ditch that last saw notch too.
 
No the tip grind is the same throughout and the last spline is angled towarded the other splines to almost a full 1/4". I dont percieve any problems with the design or tip with the last spline being so close. I was concerned at first, but once I saw how it was designed I would imagine it would take a tank to break the actual knife. However, I would not rely on the tip for any prying unless I can get about an inch past the first spline or so do it.
Other than that, the knive is beautiful and the design, as far as I can tell does not have any flaws. Only the future will tell with use.
