Good question, but to my knowledge there is no sharing of proceeds. We try and steer business to those dealers that help and keep the forums online with their paid subscriptions, as well as makers and craftsmen.I going to buy a knife. I want to know if there are sponsors that share a portion of their proceeds with the forum whenever a member makes a purchase from them?
Thanks for posting that.
There is a list of supporting dealers here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1089879-Paid-Dealer-Members-List-(Updated-2-5-16)
To be clear, that support is in the form of a dealer membership ($350/yr) - I am not aware of any that also give an additional portion of their proceeds.
Eric from DLT is active a lot and gives a lot of good info. There are also supporting dealers who are active participants in this forum and that means a lot. Scott from USA Made Blade has provided a lot of insight and information. Sal Glesser is always active, usually in the Spyderco sub-forum...imagine getting your question about a Spydie answered by the owner and founder?!? I've seen Blade HQ pop in from time to time and I'm sure that there are others too. Many custom makers are very active participants here. If you want to do business with a dealer that supports Blade Forums, you might look for which are the most active here. (except right now most are probably still trying to get back to business after Blade 2016.
