Preordered The BK14

I was planning on ordering the a Becker Necker to use as an always on me "survival knife" . When I saw the BK14 at Rocky National I put in the order,it seems to have the best features of the necker and the izula. Checked with Kabar on the release date this is what I got.

Good news, TWBryan, and thanks for sharing. There are a lot of people waiting on that one.
 
Can't wait! Can't decide on a cord-wrap color... maybe I need to buy one for each color?

Anyone else (CRKS?) going to do pre-order?
 
Honestly I'm thinking of making handle slabs for mine,and probably a kydex sheath. Looking forward to that.
 
I pre ordered mine. I had to replace the one my dad walked off with. Now I bet he is going to wish he had waited to get the BK14. This time he will not get to even use this one.
 
This is one knife that I'm seriously excited about owning.

IMHO it's gonna be one of the best neck knives of all time.

I placed a preorder with RockyNational too. The email response says....

Your order is On Order.

One or more items are currently on-order and we are unable to send it to you immediately. We expect to have this item in our warehouse within (7-10) business days. At which time, your order will be immediately shipped via the UPS shipping option you chose.

This may just be a standard response, but I wouldn't be displeased to receive my BK-14 in a couple of weeks instead of 3 months :D

there are some outfits still listing old Becker knives as "in stock", and a few months of waiting if someone orders the find out "are on back order, 2-3 weeks", and then a few months later, you find out "cannot obtain, store credit!"

pre-ordering *and* paying? nah, this homey don't do that no more, been burninated a few too many times.

"in stock or no sale (and cheap!)" is my motto. mostly :)
