Guy's, I did another shave with the DE and after the last post, prep work was highly recommended. I did not think it was "that" important and it is time consuming too.
With the Sensor, electric, etc, I could just dry shave if I wanted, but not so with a DE..., not and have good results.
Today I took more time-
Got hot water,
Brush and lather face,
Hot towel on lathered face,
Brush AND razor soaking in hot water (I noticed a cold razor last time), so now it gets "prepped also.
Towel starts to cool and another hot towel,
Lather again,
New "Dollar General" blade (5/$1)
Great shave this time, smoother, closer, lots better!!
Several lathers, several passes, all with hot water.
After, a "special mix" of stuff I just throw together and all is smooth, no burn, no bumps,
I think I am "starting" to get the hang of it or maybe it was just a lucky cut..., guess I will find out, LOL!!
Thanks for all the help guy's!!!
To any new-b's- Prep is, IMO, the most important.
I should have thought about that.
I did paint and body for years and like shaving- PREP is the most important.
Without good prep, you do not get good results no matter how expensive the paint it, you can use the best paint gun and be the best painter, but prep is the key...,
Same with DE shaving!!
Today, BBS and all is good
