Prepaid Cell Phone Service

Anybody here using prepaid cell phone service? I'm currently on Sprint's ~$40/mo plan and I average about 100 minutes total per month.

Basically, the way I look at it, I'm paying for a lot of minutes I never use. I'm thinking of switching to Virgin Mobile.

Any comments, opinions, and experiences?
 
i have virgin- voice mail can be days late once in awhile -thats the only bad thing ive got to say after almost 3 years
 
I use Tracfone. For about $100 a year, I get 200 or so minutes, usually more as they have bonus offers. Thot's some expensive minutes but I don't use very many, yet it igives me the security and convenience and availability for my family that I want from a cell phone. Minutes rollover to the next cycle.

I use the phone for my long distance calls to burn up my extra minutes. That's good for me as I don't have much need for long distance either.

Prepaid is good and economical in my situation but is certainly not the right solution for every user.
