Preparedness saves man's life

This was in my local news this morning. This is a pretty remote spot in Labrador where this guy was travelling; from Postville (B), to Happy Valley Goose Bay (A), ~200km as the crow flies.

It was a good thing he had enough sense to bring some survival gear... this is a pretty unforgiving part of the world...

Preparedness seems nuts to some folks, but it makes life a lot easier when things do go wrong.
