Big AL: A great video on your lineup of slipjoints. I noticed a few things and none are intended as criticisms..just questions. I notice that you are not a fan of cut swedges at all. The ground swedges are very light. Just your style or is there a reason for this? Also...the shields seem to wander a bit depending on...I guess...when they were made. Some centered between scale pin and spring, some much closer to spring pin, some in other positions. Do you have a rule of thumb now on the knives and shields...or just wherever you think it looks good today? I struggle at times with things like that. Lastly I notice you are not a fan of recurves blades...for example..in a trapper. Just not a fan or...? Thanks for the great lineup.

John,

The light swedge is just my style, I like them on single blade knives.
A bigger - deeper swedge is used on a multi blade, to get at the nail nicks.

The shields? I try to center them to were they look good. - :)

Re curve blades? maybe? I don't know.......:confused::rolleyes::D

Thanks for the reply.

Todd, thanks for putting the video together. If watching that doesn't put a smile on a man's face, I don't know what will. It's a great sample of your work and the video is very well done. Thanks again!

Nice video, love those Barlows! Think I may have spotted one or two of my TA Davisons. With I had the funds right now to add another one to my collection.:(

what a nice way to start a day!:)

That's a lot of knives and really nicely put together slideshow Todd. Good tunes!

Recurved blade on a slipjoint? Purely an aesthetic choice, not very utilitarian, and your slips look pretty darn practical, (and very nice to boot) if you ask me.

Should be up for "best picture" Oscar! All superb, but your spalted wood scales just explode. It's an honor just to see them. Congrats.

Thank you for the nice compliments guys.

Does it look real bad in full screen? Like to blurry?:rolleyes::confused:
