The customer provided the Damascus - its called Rosebud by Jerry Rados and I LIKE IT !! I was hoping the Amboyna burl would match the pattern of the steel. I have to hunt through my emails to find out what the steel composition is - it apparently has O-1 and 1095 and maybe something else - takes a wicked edge and even shows up a faint hamon. I took photos every step along the making of this piece - its quite funny how many steps there are but maybe thats just me... This is only my second "bigger" piece in "expensive stuff" so it marks yet another major stage in my knifemaking development. Thanks for looking.

I feel your pain Brother!!! :(

I got the other Eastern Hunter and it is without doubt one of the sharpest blades I have ever owned!!! I 'steeled' it on a F. Dick smooth steel and   !!!!!!

Jason's work is outstanding and if I had all the $$$$'s in the world, I think I'd probably buy damned near everything he made!!! :o :D

That is a real knock-out knife you built there, Jason! Great workmanship, and I like how you did the guard up. Looks like fairly high layer count damascus. You can tell it's pattern welded, but have to really look to see the pattern. I suppose if it is 1095 and 0-1 there wouldn't be much contrast anyway. Sure would cut, though!
