This one has been a long time coming, and is probably one of my more "technical" pieces. The blade is forged W-2 (to profile) and is hollow-ground with hammered copper sandwiching some mokume that was provided by the customer. It has a 7-inch cutting edge and is about 13-inches overall. It is 1/4 at the spine and the blade balances on my logo.

The mokume hasn't achieved it's full patina, but it'll get there quickly.

Thanks for checking it out -- :)

That is very beautiful. Where's the KOI? I think it needs a nice sheath with a koi engraving or something of the like to go along. Just as beautiful as the fish.

Thanks -- No Koi. :D

And here's a pic I (tried) to take last night of the guard section. It's all greased up and shiny, but hopefully it shows what's going on:

,,,,very nice knife :) althoug i realy dont like hollow grinds,, still the blade looks like a an attractive peive of steel

Thank you -- it was a fun (and frustrating :D) blade to make.

I really like how it's reminiscent of multiple styles, yet still seems to be a cohesive whole. Beautiful work.
