Bought a small bowie style knife (9") with beautiful stag handles. Blade, handguard & tang were black as if they'd been cold blued. Upon closer examination when I got home I found the entire knife is made from sterling silver (no wonder it was black) & is so marked on the back of the blade & the top of the tang. Blade is marked on right side H. M. ROBINS. The blade reminds me of a Randall my father had during WW2. It also came with a sheath that looks like it had a thin metal award plate on it at one time
