A couple weeks ago Yangdu sent me a couple Nabin (Rai Kami) Balance knives what Chopka thought had ugly men carved in them. My mission was to make them handsome as Bookie or do what was necessary to make it better.
Well that's a tall order, plumb near impossible iffen you've ever laid eyes on a photo of Bookie.
It kind of broke my heart to do it since Rai did such a fine job of whittling in that face and such but while it worked fine in my hand as is, anyone with hands bigger than mine, (just about everybody) it wouldn't be to comfy.
Let me tell ya, if George Washington had had this knife that Cherry tree, or was it an apple tree???? would of just plumb fell over on it's own giving George a lot more time to think up an appropriate lie. Not that he ever lied but I think he was real busy and didn't have time to think up even little white lies that momma say never hurt nobody.
So for your viewing and shopping pleasure I give you the first bawanna invisible man balance knife.
Here's a before shot.

And after some careful butchering.

I'm a hat guy so I just straightened the brim and rounded the top off kind of a Derbyish look.

This one comes with a nice sheath. As you can see it kind of opens up in the front to draw the knife straight out. Fits pretty nice too. I'm not certain what it is made of, it's at least partially leather and some vinyl skin I think. Functional and well put together.

It now feels very good in hand and I suspect it will accommodate the largest hands quite nicely.
It's 15 1/2" long and weighs in at just over 22 ounces. I picture this as a real workhorse with a lot of style and class.
Offered up for 85 bucks.
Email Auntie as usual and I'll send this off when she tells me where to send it. himimp@aol.com
Happy Presidents Day!
