CJ Buck will be in Lebanon MO Saturday June 17th at the Shepherd Hills Factory Outlet. (9 til noon)
The wife unit and I are going to make the 3 hour road trip.
I would be pleased to actually meet CJ Buck in person.
Anyone else in the region planning to attend?

Been there once while on vacation in the area. I would love to attend but Google Maps says it's a 4 hour drive for me which is a little bit too far. Have a great time!

I wonder if some of these 'oldies, but goodies' could come back as a BOTM or limited edition model if not a regular production model. That might let them meet some of this pent up demand without starting a longer term commitment again. Perhaps something just slightly upscale in a run of 500 - 1,000 pieces or so would suffice.

Anyone ever go to one of these Chairman's Tour events?
What actually go on at one?
It''s a 6 hour round trip, having 2nd thoughts wondering if it will be worth it.

It was around 2008 when I was there and there weren’t any events going on at the time.

They had several Buck knives but the vast majority of their inventory was Case knives.

Things might be different now though.

no idear. never been to one, but if CJ's there and maybe some othe Buck insiders and it aint too crowded least ya get to talk with them about all things Buck....which would be worth it.

For me, it's a 10 hour drive. So, no, not going. I wish Shepherd's Hill would allow purchases of Buck products over the internet - at least for their exclusives. Maybe they don't have any exclusives anymore, I don't know. I only see Case XX knives on their site. The outlet site has no provisions for on-line purchases. Would have liked to get one of the limited edition Vanguards, but I suppose they are already all spoken for anyways.

Yeah, with Elk, Stag or water buffalo!

I like your choices. It would be nice to have some of these older versions upgraded, a nice handle material and maybe an upgraded steel to go with it. But, if it were a choice of one or the other, I think I might prefer the nicer handle to the nicer steel.
