Presidio

IMO, it's better. Both Pardue designs, and good ones at that, but the 520 is much more solid with it's machined aluminum handles, I think the grip they give is a lot better. Nothing against the Griptilian models because they're a good knife at their price point (especially if you like the Axis lock) but I'd much prefer the 520 or 525.

Stonger knife. Different blade shape. Non-slip handle. Tough as a tank.

I have the Presidio 5000 auto and love it. If you were to handle one you would know that the Presido is not just a "beefed up" Griptilian. But love those Grips too.

Regards

I have a 5000BK auto and I agree with the previous posters. Just handle one and you will know.

the presisio has a higher grind, which makes it a slicing machine
it also has full 420J2 liners, better ergonomics (weight-to-size ratio) and the handle will take you to a new level of grippability
i love my griptilian, but the presidio is as closest to the Grail as i got so far....

I am seriously considering a 520, my only question is, does it "clack" when closing, like the Griptillian?

I have two Presidio 520's, and they are GREAT. As mentioned above, way beyond the Griptillian.

They have such a sturdy, rugged feel.

The 520 has become my primary EDC knife.

Received the Presido this afternoon.

This 520, was made for me,:D the grip, texture, ergonomics, weight and feel are exactly what I've been looking for.

I must say, had I have purchased the Presidio earlier, I could have saved a lot of money.
Live and learn as they say, I believe this knife, calls for a back up, its that good.
