Pressure Pot Issue

Hey All

I am casting some knife scales and I've noticed that my pressure pot has a small leak on an area that is pressed in. (Nothing to unthread and seal.)

I'm using the standard Harbour Freight paint tank with some modifications for using it as a pressure tank.

Here is a picture of the pot and the leaking area:

Any ideas on how to seal the leak? It looks to be leaking in a pressed in area, so I can't use Teflon tape or thread locker.

Maybe epoxy or silver solder?

How much pressure are you planning? I'd think silver solder might be the best option as long as it's fairly low pressure (less than a 100 psi or so).

maybe when it got pressed it, the seal was compromised ? or was it like that new. first i would try drying/cleaning it with alcohol and applying some fingernail polish over the joint inside the tank.

Is it leaking where the 90 joins at the vertical fitting, or where the vertical fitting contacts the lid? The 90 degree fitting IS threaded on, FYI (or at least they used to be).

Thanks. I just put a pipe on the wrench and it broke free. Added some Teflon tape and now she's sealed up tight.
