Pressure washer for axe head clean up?

Hey if this works the technique is a darn sight less obvious than the usual overzealous effort with an angle grinder and a coarse wire wheel.

I used to use one when I worked at the screen printing studio. Used it a couple times on axes after they got out of the vinegar bath. It won't hurt them, seemed to work OK, but didn't blow me away.

Seems like an okay idea. Shouldn't hurt if you let it dry quickly. I doubt you'll be removing rust with the pressure washer.

Don't let old concepts fool you. Pressure washers today are 3-4X more powerful than they were 20 years ago. Manufacturers are even using water jets to cut thick steel plate these days.

I've tried it and if you have it, it works fairly well. Sometimes the rust is a bit stubborn and requires some elbow grease, but overall it works pretty well.
