Thinking about getting a pressure washer to clean my drive way
and patio. Will the Walmart 1,100psi electric Hauser do the job ?
Are those any good ? It will not be used a whole lot, so looking for
something under $100.00.

Thanks

This is not an answer to your question, but I just borrowed an electric power washer (Karcher), and it did a great job on my wood deck and brick/concrete steps. This was a pretty low-powered cheapie too, but it worked great.

When I need a piece of equipment like this infrequently, I rent it.

I need a chain saw maybe once every couple of years. I go rent one for half a day, get a can of gas and a bottle of chain oil with it, it has a sharp chain, and it starts and runs well. When I am finished with it, I take it back and it is someone else's problem.

I will probably use it once a month, so that is the reason why I want to
buy and not rent. I was just wondering if the electrics had enough
pressure to do a good job. Sounds like they do.

If you are going to use it a hour a two every month, you might be dollars ahead to get a little better unit that will last. Definitely get one that has a good warranty and access to service. I have been looking at the Husky's at Home Depot myself.

Back on the farm, we had problems with hoses coming apart and the spray plates loosing their ability to generate pressure. I should note that we used it hard and in a harsh environment so you should not have near the maintenance we had. Keep in mind that high pressure water is hard on seals so, good quality pays for itself over time.

I had an electric one for one day. Biggest piece of crap I've ever owned.

I used to rent a gas powered one a few times a year, for various chores, and that was ok.

This spring, I needed one to do the usual chores (patio, house siding, deck, walkways, ect) and I figured the rental costs for three days would just about pay for one, I bit the bullet, and bought one.

I bought a Craftsman 2300PSI gas powered model (Briggs & Stratton 6 horse). I paid about $260 on sale (and with the Craftsman club discount). Best damn money I have spent in a while. I have used the hell out of it, and so have my in-laws. It has more than paid for itself in rental fee savings, ($65 a day) and I have it to use whenever I need it.

You can see my exact model here:
