Presto

I have from my father a Presto switch blade by GEO. SCHRADE BRIDGEPORT CONN. and would appreciate any information about it. It is metal handled and painted black. The GEO part is on one side of the blade and the other has Presto Made USA on the other. I am guess it is near WWII vintage since he was in the navy and settled down after that stint. Right after WWII they lived in Philadelphia which is where he might have picked it up but who knows. I can't ask him or my mother any longer.

Does it have a bail like this one? From the Collector's Guide to Switchblade Knive's

yes it does. looks exactly like that except does not have the ring in the rear.

That is really a nice knife you have there. The ring on the butt end is called the bail.
