Well it was my day off and I feel like I have been running since I got up trying to get everything done that I needed to. I made it to the gun store and luckily they had some options in stock for me, i was looking for a small one for my mother. Crime has moved into her neighborhood and I have been really worried so I picked this up today for her.

Kahr CM9, very impressed I ran some rounds through it and not one malfunction.

Then I come home and check the mailbox to find that one of my grails arrived. I traded for it with a great member on here who saw I was looking for one and contacted me. McFly is quality people.

I know it isn't as high end as a lot of grails... But when you have been hunting a knife for as long as I have been hunting this one it turns into an unhealthy obsession. With enough money you can get a tilt or an xm, but nothing is more frustrating than not being able to find a knife for any amount of money.

Sweet! Congratulations! I actually have one in the mail right now from Europe. I also traded for it.

Size, even though some say they are close in size we all know (or should even from knives) just how big of difference half an inch on the barrel and extra length on the handle can make. I want this gun to move from her glove box to her pocketbook once she gets her ccdw. I carry a Glock 27 and even with it's small size it will print if I am not constantly aware of my posture and how I move (and that is wearing a loose leather coat that is too big for me lol). It's the width that gets me, with a slim body (at least the way my body is) bulges can show easily). I plan to upgrade to a 1911 with a commander length barrel and slide on an officer's frame someday when I can afford it. All of this has taught me that size (even fractions of an inch) matter. If she were to have trouble fitting a gun and holster into her purse then it would never be in there so I went as small as I felt comfortable going for her.

They didn't have the lc9, only an lcp .380 and with the ammo situation like it is 9's are easier to come by around here and cheaper to practice with. I looked at the lcp but the cm9 was just more comfortable in hand and I was very impressed by the trigger pull on it, longer reset but so smooth. I don't believe you could go wrong with either honestly the caliber was the deciding factor between the two. I also have more faith in 9mm than .380.

I agree with u there, no 380 for me, and i almost bought the kahr but the wife couldn't work the slide.... So instant no there

Lol yup it's amazing how the women in our lives can make decisions so easy sometimes :)

I don't know you, but know how deeply gratifying it is to get that last minute (or huge) piece in place.

I've had a CZ 75B and a Kahr P9 since getting my permit, and my objective now is to replace the P9 with a P40 or P45. They hadn't even produced the latter when I got my P9. Hurray for plastic guns!

(BTW, the only Skyline I own is red.)

Congrats on finding the knife! I too need this knife for my Skyline collection. The search continues...
