Hello, I am new to the forum and new to knifes. I have a few now and am learning but am still not very knowledgable. I am considering a Gentlemans Folder that has a classy look. I've seen many I like but none that "fits the bill" like the new (not yet released??) Benchmade 240-02 . I know that Benchmade makes some good knifes, and I like the shape and aesthetics, it fits my purpose (I wish it was a tad shorter, but,,,) In fact if the polished Ivory Micarta was pearl and the blade was 2" even it would BE perfect. BUT I am not familiar with the PAUL lock. I am fine with basic function, I think, but wonder about drawbacks I can't imagine. you just push that button and it opens, or closes - Right? Any input on this or other advice is very welcome. Thanks, Vassal

I think most Paul locking mechanisms are very secure. They are not of the auto/assist types. The button locks the blade in both open and close positions so the blade is manually deployed and folded back by hand after the button is pushed. I hope this helps.

Hey, welcome to the forum. The Paul lock is very secure.

The plural of knife is knives.
