........but it is Cru Forge-V.
I forged this from a 1 1/8" round bar of good ol' Cru-V. (Gotta love that Vanadium until you go to rub one of these out!)
Take-down hunter with 416 SS guard and some nice and clean African Blackwood.

That's the same sentiment that Brion Tomberlin had when I got a piece from him several years ago...I think it might have been the only one he ever forged, or one of the very few, out of Cru Forge-V ;)

Man, that's some crazy steel! So dense it's like all shiny layers!
...Oh wait, you mean no layers? You sure it cuts as good as damascus?

Seriously that's a very nice little piece. Probably cuts like a demon, too!
 
Wow, that is CLEAN looking. The African Blackwood is just perfect for this one. Beautiful as always, Karl! I never get tired of seeing your work, especially seeing all the different flavors you come up with for your hunters.
