Since Randy said to, here are a couple of folders bound for the Reno show....opinions both good and bad are welcome!
First is something I really love to do...all mosaic folders.....this one has textured/heat colored 15N20 liners, same pattern mosaic back spacer, textured blade spine, and of course dual anodized titanium thumb studs.

Next is something from my wild side....A titanium frame lock, carved, textured, and anodized, with a mosaic wharncliff blade. finished off with the dual ti thumb studs.

I was thinking about not going to Reno, but I might have to after seeing this 2 beauties, especially the second one. Excellent works Sir !

I am speachless. Phenomenal work Ed!

Absolutely beautiful. Any nice bowies that you are taking to Reno that you would like to share with us here before you go?:D

 Awesome !

Ed. . .can you explain what you did to get anodizing the way it is on the second knife (as I'm unedjamacated) ? And the equipment that you used ?

You're damascus. . .is absolutely stunning ! :)

Thanks for all the kind comments. If your going to the Reno show, please stop by and introduce yourself.....it's always great to meet folks and put faces with the names.

Gig..... On the Titanium I used a turbo-carver, after the slabs were hand sanded to 2000 grit, to create the grooves and the "krackle" down the center. I have a home built anodizer, pieced together from odds and ends. The way I achieve these colors is to clip the end off a Q-tip, place it into the alligator clip on the negative side of the anodizer leads, dip the Q-tip into the etchant (saturated TSP solution) and then "paint" the colors onto the Ti. The anodizer was set at about 45 volts. The colors are determined by how long the Q-tip has contact with a specific area. That seems to be about the only way I can achieve those green colors.....which are my favorite.

I like both very well..who wouldn't! Like the sharp narrower point on the top one. What type of pins did you use in the top one?

Thanks Ed.

The reason that I asked. . .I can't remember seeing anodizing that vivid. :) Wasn't sure if you were using some kinda majic wand. . .or not. ;) :D

I just realized why I keep coming back to this thread - both pieces are mesmerizing !

I was going to post some strange comment about Reno..........

but after seeing those pics..........all I can say is

Your anodizing is absolutely the wildest I have ever seen! Will you anodize knives that other guys built? If so, I definitely have an idea!
