Thought I'd post this for forumites interested in searching in the previous incarnation of the HI Forum. Note that while you can read the stuff, posting has been disabled.

Gee, it actually worked! Two examples of 'palace' or 'court' kukris. Top has gold furniture, black rhino grips and is from around 1850. The other is giraffe horn, is silver mounted and has three small knives. From around 1880.

Great khukuris but they skimped on the scabbard adornments. The sunars always take a cut of the silver.
