Hello,

This is my first real post here, and I am looking for some information.

I have read several posts on here about the SC504, and even it's relation to the 51OT. I have both of these knives and I have learned that the SC504 that I already had was pretty rare (being the one with the two stags fighting.) I recently acquired another SC504 with a man apparently injured and defending himself with a knife against a bear. I have seen this pattern on other schrade knives, but never on a SC504. Furthermore, this 504 also seems to have a differently shaped blade. All indications point to a factory setup for this knife, but I have never seen another 504 with this blade, either. I have included images for reference, and would appreciate any input offered.

Thank you,
Shawn

Shawn,
Nice find. I have never seen one in the color, blade and scrim combo.
Thanks for sharing.

Herman Williams has re-ground some 51 pattern blades to a similar appearance. Perhaps this is one. As for the rare example with two sparring whitetails, I have to wonder. I know where 5 of them are, and I have seen a few more for sale. Perhaps there are more than the +/_ 100 pieces originally suggested in a previous thread. Or not.
