Hi everyone, this is another check for price but this time, I don't have the knife in my procession and more like "anyone wants this?" If there is anything wrong with this or should be done differently, please let me know
This knife is simple in design but I cannot find any resemblances with others when researching in English. Literally translated from Vietnamese as Areca Splitting Knife and of course can use for vegetable on-hand prepping or many other tasks. The idea is much like petty or parring knife without a pointy end. I don't know any reason for a flat head aside from easy storage with areca equipments or safety.
The design of this particular one still follow the same spirit as the bladesmith is hailed from a bladesmith family where they have made this kind of knife for generations. As a rather young bladesmith, he applys new technologies in the process such as using Damascus steel with VG10 core from Japan, forges with hammer machine and quenching with high pressured air. Dimensions are 10cm long and 1.8mm thick and handle was made from Padouk A.K.A. Pterocarpus macrocarpus.
With permission from the bladesmith, here is a link to his post for the exact knife Areca Splitting Knife
Thank you for reading my post
