what is the resale of a new in the box one,i know there not being made now ,i have found one and want to know if 300 is about right.thanks

There are limited editions being made right now that cost $200. They offer m390 steel and varriation on the original handle. I imagine most who own a D2 model would love to have $100 and the LE version.

You're talking about the one with the oval instead of the circular "Spydie" hole? (That's the one in D2 I have). $300 is very steep. I didn't pay $300 for one of the M4 LE's on the exchange; and I'd say they're more desireable. I know it's discontinued; but in all honesty, with the current LE out it's not anything special.

I wouldn't go higher than $200, especially if you don't need it to round out a collection.

I have one of the D2 models. Never selling it... The AFCK is my favorite combat folder design. I own 4 of them. 3 full size, 1 small. That new one with the M390 steel is really tempting me, but the asking price is a bit steep. I'd rather spend $200 on a custom fixed balde or semi custom...

I just put this one on layaway since the asking price was a little more than I was willing to spend in one pop.

This is definitely one of my "holy grail" knives since the last AFCK I had was lost over 6 years ago, and I haven't been able to find one since then. Needless to say, I'm overjoyed to be able to get another one after all this time. It's a beautiful knife.

I should've taken some more pictures before handing it over to the sales clerk, but I'll have it in my possession before to long.

I agree that 300 is a bit high. THe reissues from Knifecenter are trending prices down for buyers who just want an 806, so it's unlikely someone would pay 300 for a D2 unless they just really were fixated on getting that particular model.

KnifeWorks has a limited edition AFCK M390 for cheap. Nice knife classy looking combat folder. There was a limited edition m390 BM710 thread on top yesterday and the OP had major blade grind issues. Others chimed in the their M390 AFCK's had issues too. Hmm?

As far as what they sell for, some have sold for more than $300, that was at their peak around a year ago. I think a fair price since it is discontinued with that particular steel configuration would be $200-$250, that would be fair IMO. Just because there is something similar, doesn't necessarily revoke the quality of what you currently own. By that logic we could say that the Spyderco S90V/CF Military should be around $200, they do make tons of S30V models, so why would someone pay an extra for for S90V? Makes no sense really.

The only issues I had with teh 2 TSEKs I have are that the blades were not centered, actually rubbing the liners. It was easily fixed with the proper tools and within 1 minute.

I didn't know you could center an axis lock benchmade knife. You aught to do a "how to" thread if you ever feel ambitious. We could get it stickied in maintenance section.

To be honest, I didn't think it would work either. But the learning curve came with the purchase of a 950 Rift that had a way crooked blade. That took 45 minutes worth of aggravation and every conceiveable combination of screw turning you can think of.

$300 no no to high,is this a plain edge knife it is more sought after,it being pe and NIB $200 tops and that is me really wanting it.good luck.

ooooo the new AFCK are super, gripper g-10 and under $200 new.

The D2 axis AFCKs were regularly $175 or so maybe 2 years ago when I hunted one down. $200 max. That was then & they're semi-scarce.
