Price check - Gladius

What should a Gladius cost? Just an ordinary coated one. Like Black with Red and Black G10?

All the ones I've seen for sale are fancy satin custom shop versions with extra long blades and/or exotic handle materials for thousands and thousands of dollars.

That sounds about right on the original price. As I recall, they were only sold at Blade (or at least that's where you had to put your order in), so if you weren't there and didn't have a proxy, you were out of luck. Except maybe for some Ganzaaa blades and as a bonus if you bought a $10,000 grab bag. Or was it $20,000?

It is indeed. But if you just put your $800 in a S&P 500 index fund in 2010, you'd have about $3350 today, and you'd be able to buy two. And according to the Bible, two swords are enough.

Yep thats how they went down plus a few occasional ones at knob creek and the antiqued bronze one at blade show apx 5 yrs ago. Never a direct/site offering 👍

I was wondering what an AK should cost and checked eBay. Someone with Liu Kang style red velvet backgrounds is asking over a thousand dollars for Battle Grades -- and apparantly getting it (based on the "sold" listigs). If a BG AK goes for a thousand, it seems like the INFI version would be considerably more, and there are lots and lots of those. I'll bet a Gladius would get two grand easy.

It's understandable, its rare and some of those knives are unique. Surprised it's not actually higher for some offerings on there...
