Ran across both a 181 and a 186 today. When I first saw them I wasn't even sure they were real Bucks having the elongated "Spydie" hole and all. Checked the BCCI catalogs and gained some knowledge.

Both are in excellent condition and I'm thinking one or both (I'm not too partial to serrations) might be a nice addition to my growing Buck collection. What are these going for now days? TIA

Check ebay. There are a few with carbon fiber scales and a few with better steel. I'm not a fan of this model; but, many here like them. If you get one or both post some photo's.

Where did you even find them? I haven't been able to find any on eBay or any sold here post 2009. That being said, I'd check out the posts where they've been sold here for pricing.

I really miss my Odyssey. Good find.

Based on info provided by another member they can be found online for less than $20 + shipping (base model in 420HC). Next time I'm back by the place I saw them (pawn shop) I might offer $5-$10 and see what shakes.

There was one on the Bucks for sale listing here back on 4/4/2010. It was the G-10 handles with ATS-34 steel. It was listed at $50.

KennyB,

Go to Ebay and do an advance search, I did three searches 181, 186 and odyssey. There are at least 4 knives currently for sale. I also did the same search for completed auctions (done in the last 15 days) and there were 3, all of these were the standard model, 2 sold for around $20 and one sold for $45 out of the USA.

What search configuration did you use to find the 4 still for sale? I can't seem to find any but the three that have already sold.

I'm pretty sure it's my lack of abiilty to use anything but Google, as I searched for Buck Odyssey threads for sale here and never found the 4/4/10 one that Plumberdv mentioned.

Sorry KennyB,

I was going to send you the link to the live auctions for this knife on ebay. However, you have your contact info blocked. Go to Ebay, click on the home page, in the search line put "Buck 186", you will see there is still 3 open for this model. If you had open contact info, there is more online options as well.

Ahh all right. I tried searching for Buck 182 when Odyssey didn't work. What are the model numbers for the Odyssey series?

Also, sorted that contact issue. Didn't even know I had it set like that.

I'm not sure how many other model numbers there were, but I have a 182 with CF scales and an ATS-34 blade. If I recall, it sold of in one of the internet stores for about $65 new, and it was $10 more than the plain scaled version.
