Hi,

Are the original Swick’s (FB14P) considered collectible and rare? I know they were limited to 500 pcs on 2009 and then several years later all of the other similar Swick hit the market.

I have a new, never used Swick FB14P with an exceptionally nice kydex sheath there I am thinking about moving out of the safe, since I can’t see myself using it.

Especially, with the 5 and 6’s coming out, is there a renewed interest?

A Swick 1 last sold here for $130 just over two years ago, the post didn't have pictures so I couldn't tell if it had the hole or not. I happened to have bought one a few years before that and paid similar, from what I recall though they went for much less than that but I really wanted that particular piece since it had no hole. I think it makes sense to list it at that price and drop if necessary.

Hi Bravodelta,

Actually the first "Swick" was the "SPOT" that we made some 20 years ago. (Self Protection Option Tool). I've been refining the design since then with; SPOTS, Diving versions and Swicks for the past 20 years.

When I felt that I had the design refined enough for production, I designed the 5 & 6 for two different hand sizes. The knives have been finished for some time but we've had our challenges with the sheaths, which had to serve multiple functions: belt carry, neck carry and pocket carry with a TPO (thumb push off) so the sheath could be popped off of the knife with one hand while in a pocket, such as a jacket.
