I haven't been on here much, but I have a question I hope is not out of line. I have a few Chris Reeve knives and due to failing health, I figure it might be better to sell off some of them as my daughter would no idea what to do with them when I pass. I have a couple Shadow I's and a Sable I from South Africa. I might keep my #12 but might sell the other two. The Sable#5x and the other Shadow 2xx. They all have birthday cards although the other Shadow's card is a dupe from Anne and the boxes are the later boxes. The #12 Shadow is a slightly used and shows some wear and age on the sheath. I also have a letter from Anne concerning the #12 knife on where and when it was made. I have a new made Shadow III and Sable III also. I don't remember who I talked to at CR, but they suggested I check here for current prices and either here or E-bay for selling them. Frankly, since I think everyone on this thread anyway are CR fans, I would check here. If there is enough interest, I will pay for gold membership and list them here. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

A good place to start is to go on eBay and check out the completed auctions. It will go back about three months and give you a good idea what you will want to ask. The one piece knives have been selling good the last 6 months on eBay.

Welcome to the forum! I think it is a great idea for you to take care of selling a few things that your daughter may not know the value of. I'm sure that you'd have no problem selling your knives on either site.

As tomhalv said, eBay's completed auctions listing is a great place to see what similar knives have sold for recently, but you have to be an eBay member to access that info. If you aren't a member and you would like that info, I would be happy to help you out. Just send me a PM with the names of the knives you'll be selling and I can do a completed listings search for you. Otherwise, you could search the Exchange listings here, but most people delete their asking price after a knife sells and just mark it SOLD. But once you have a good idea what things are worth, you can list it here with a Gold Membership. It seems to me that CR knives sell fast.

I wish you the best of luck!

I recently purchased three fixed blades out of the a2 tool steel from Moore Knives out of California, he is an authorized CRK dealer. Project one cost 475, Project two cost 525, and Mountaineer 2 cost 500. Scott Moore told me the earlier one piece models with S Africa stamps would be worth more. He also informed me he had a few of those pieces NIB.

Hope this helps to give you an idea what some other one piece items cost.

Good luck.
