I just looked at shipping to Australia and there is a $30 dollar difference between a package and a legal size envelope. Would you be alright with shipping it in an envelope? If so you got a deal. I can probably pad the envelope with camping mat foam to give it good protection.

As far as I'm concerned, you can ship it in whatever you like...as long as it arrives safely and undamaged!

If you give it a light oil and put it in the sheath, wrap it in some foam (and maybe some cardboard), and then put it in an envelope...I would think it should be fine!

Let me know...

I finally tried it out and what I ended up doing was...

oiling the knife
putting it in the sheath
wrapped in large bubble
taped it
put it in cardboard
taped up the cardboard
wrapping the cardboard in large bubble wrap
taped it up
into the envelope (which is like a cotton paper)
and then put like 30 feet of packing tape around it

I feel pretty confident about it, I mean its a solid knife in a hearty leather sheath to begin with. If you have any reservations though I have no problem repacking it. I think its good because its isolated twice with the bubble and has the cardboard layer for penetration protection and its firmly in place with no wiggling possible. Let me know what you think and we can work out payment arrangements.

Sorry, I checked back for a few days and had received no response...wasn't sure what was happening...

Since then I've been afk myself...

Yeah, my bad on that kinda slipped my mind because I was waiting to get the envelope. It's still available if you are still interested.
