Another question
Did you wrap the sides of the handle with anything or is it just pearl with the tang showing?
Man this is a gorgeous knife,I hope that someday I can make one look that Great.

avatar is back
blade is 5/8" wide 3 1/4" from start of the grind plunge. oal is 6 1/2". no handle wrap just pearl on tang. will have a 410 s.s. sheath with stocking clip.

What kind of clip is a stocking clip ? can you point me in the direction of a picture or can you explain.
I have a small one started like this again only the blade is 1/2 inch wide and I am planning on putting a broach clip style clip on the back of the sheath.They did do some like this during the gold rush era.

What kind of finish is on the blade. Looks like a satin but a very fine satin!

peter, its hand finished to 1500 grit.

bruce, just the regular type spring clip they put on the silver sheaths, just called it a stocking clip, so ir holds onto the top of her stocking
