Hey. I finally got my hands on a CS Ti-Lite Titanium blue. Made in Japan. It's in almost perfect conditions and I am very happy with it.
Paid $235 for it tho, which is alot I guess, but I was looking for one for a long time.
Me and my buddy were wondering for how much it sold for back in around 2004?!

Does anyone here know?

Hope it's okay to ask this here. I am not planning to sell this knife.
Thanks

Since it doesn't appear that you are asking "what's my knife worth", but rather "what was the original MSRP", I'll take a chance and try to answer, and it will be up to the Mods to determine if your question violates the rules and this thread gets deleted.

First, there are two Ti-Lites with blue anodized titanium handles. One has an AUS8A blade, the other has a VG1 blade.

Here is what I know-

According to the Spring 2003 Cold Steel catalog, the blue Ti-Lite with AUS8 blade model #2658 had a MSRP of $224.94. However, in the same catalog Cold Steel also lists this knife at what they called a "special projects price" of $179.99.

In 2007 they produced the VG1 blade version, model CS26SB. At one point Knifecenter was selling them for $167.99 (MSRP $279.99).

Both knives are sought after by collectors. Beware of counterfeits.

That's all I've got.

These are pages from the Spring 2003 catalog. The blue version was a little more expensive than the grey version.

Thank you all very much. You guys are experts!
I don't know which blade steel mine has. I think it's AUS8A, because on all the pictures that I've seen it says VG1 on the blade. So I guess on the AUS8A version they just didn't put it on the blade. But I might be wrong of course.
Also there seem to be two different versions of thumb studs.
Quality of the knife seems really great. The blue ano with a bit of purple coming through looks really amazing.

Congratulations! I think the blue Ti-Lite is one of the most attractive knives Cold Steel has ever made. As for price, so you paid around original retail--not a bad deal, especially these days.

In addition to the different blade steels and thumb stud designs, variations exist in blade grinds, leaf spring locks, and pocket clips. You can read more in J jencarlos ' thread here:

Yours looks to be early, probably from around 2003 or 2004. Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this thread here. Really has everything I wanted to know in it.

Does anyone know where I could get an original Ti-Lite box? Maybe someone has on, but no knife. Would be willing to pay for it of course.
