I just(ish) got a Waki. I've been using it & wearing it all day, everyday. I love the damn thing. Though it made me realize that I would like a smaller one someday.
I know I can't afford the Ruck but having a price in mind (knowing it's only going up).

Also, anyone know of/have a suggestion for a super tough alternative (3v, sr101/77, etc.).

Thank you- ~

I'm was already thinking of buying one. But for destroying stuff & not having to worry about it. :D

The rucks are great. The price seems to have taken a bit of a dip, so It is actually not a bad time to get one.

The AK has a full two handed grip, while the Ruck, for my xxl hands is a bit cramped for a two handed grip.

I sold my Ruck a few months ago for $700 with a Okuden sheath. It was priced higher, but wouldn't sell. I'd say they're probably at their lowest they've been in a while.

My Ruck

The Ruck was originally offered at ~$477. They quickly shot up over $700 on the resale market. Busse prices have fallen since the bubble burst, but Rucks have not fallen as far as other models. You can search the Exchange, but unfortunately, most people delete the price after the sale (don't get me started on THAT)

Check the sword forum for discussions of less expensive options. I'm prejudiced, but you are unlikely to find anything cheaper than a Scrapizashi that has the same toughness and warranty.

It aggravates me too. I leave my prices up, for this very reason. Every time someone gets away with an over priced sale to an uninformed or "new" buyer it only hurts the rest of us. Buyer beware... yes. But if there's simply no examples to go on... then what? Oops. Did I get you started? :D
